The rectors of the University of Miskolc and the Silesian University of Katowice signed the cooperation agreement, the coordination of which was coordinated by the Hungarian colleagues of the Faculty of Law including the Department of Agricultural and Labbour Law, and the Polish part of the Within it, the staff of the Research Group on Labor and Social Law. Negotiations between the parties began in December 2019 and ended in June 2020 with the rector's signatures. The cooperation agreement offers a wide range of opportunities, primarily but not limited to joint labour law research, staff and student exchanges, and the organization of joint conferences and events. The importance of cooperation between the two universities is emphasized by the fact that Miskolc and Katowice have also been partner cities since 1973.
Researchers from the two institutions have already started working on joint publications in the framework of the cooperation, and colleagues from Miskolc have been invited to publish them in the labor law journal of the University of Silesia
